The Cause - Ismaili Community and BC Women's
The Ismaili Walk has selected BC Women's as its Partner Organization in 2008.
The money you raise while participating will go to the Women's Health Research Institute at the BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre.

Research leads to medical miracles that help even the tiniest of babies to thrive. It gives new hope to women facing life-threatening diseases.
Every day, our researchers are contributing to medical advances through world-class research projects taking place at BC Women's.
In 10 years not one HIV positive mother treated through our program has given birth to an HIV positive baby.
As the research arm of BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre, the Women's Health Research Institute supports research activities to improve health and healthcare for women throughout the province. The Institute works closely with the University of British Columbia and other partner organizations to ensure that women's health is incorporated into research agendas in B.C. and nationally.
Healthy women create healthy families that build healthy communities.
Malik Talib, the President of the Ismaili Council for British Columbia says, " We are delighted to be partnering with BC Women's to raise awareness and funds for the Women's Health Research Institute. The WHRI's mission of promoting the development of new research in women's health is very much aligned with the Ismaili Muslim community, which encourages the pursuit of knowledge and scholarship.
